What is a Cycle Boat?
It’s a self-propelled boat using 10 bicycle seats and pedals to rotate the back wheel. But don’t worry!- there is also an outboard motor to assist with the cruise when you get tired of pedaling :)
How many passengers does it carry?
Our Cycle Boat holds up to 17 passengers.
What’s on the boat?
equipped with 10 pedal cycles, a large center bar, two coolers, some bench seats, and a sound system!
Is there a Bathroom?
There are no permanent bathrooms onboard the boat. However, we do have a porta potty available adjacent to the docks. We highly recommend using this facility prior to departure. There is also an emergency portable pop-up restroom setup if needed.
Where does it ride to and How long will we be out on the water for?
We operate in 4th Lake only in around 1.5 hrs. Private tours are 2 hours in length. Please allow an extra 15 mins contingent on weather.
Are kids allowed?
We are family friendly. Children under 75lbs are required to wear a life vest on board. Any passengers under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult age 25 or older at all times. if you are consuming alcohol on board, you will be ID’d just to be safe!
What can we bring onboard?
Bring a sweater or jacket just in case it gets windy and positive vibes.
Is there music on board or is this a guided tour?
This is not a guided tour with a history lesson. We’re here to help you have a good time but feel free to ask us any questions and we’ll do our best to answer. There is a sound system that will be playing popular playlists including but not limited to 80s, 90s, 2000s, Country and Dance music.
Is alcohol allowed?
NO HARD LIQUOR or GLASS BEER BOTTLES. Beer/Wine/Seltzers only. Up to a 6 pack Per Person is recommended. If you bring a bottle of your favorite wine, you can pour it into a plastic cup or a personal beverage container. Drink Responsibly.
is food allowed?
Absolutely! Bring onboard all your favorite snacks. Private parties may be catered (no coolers- we have some for your use!)
Is smoking allowed?
Our vessel is smoke and tobacco free vessel.
Do we cruise when its rainy or windy?
Our canopy lets us sail rain or shine. If we experience extreme weather, like thunderstorms or heavy winds, the captain can cancel the tour for the safety of our passengers. Cancellations will occur like a “Baseball Game” at the time of departure. In the event of a captain’s cancellation, passengers will receive a rain check at the time of departure and only credits towards future tours will be issued. they never expire!
Do you ID?
All passengers will be required to have photo I.D. (Driver’s license or passport).
Where is check in and what time should i arrive?
Boarding takes place at 5576 Rt28 at EAGLE BAY VILLAGES. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
Can I tailgate at the dock?
Although we love a good pre-game, all alcohol has to be consumed onboard per our Good Neighbor Policy. We’re guests at Eagle Bay Village and it’s important to us to be considerate of our friends.
Do you make any stops?
There are no stops on the public tour. We want to make sure you get all the time on the water! For private tours, we can attempt to stop Daiker’s if there are dock slips available but that reduces your time on the boat/water.
I don’t really want to pedal. Do I have to?
You sure don’t! You can take turns pedaling and enjoying our bench seating, or we can ditch the pedals completely and motor down the lakes.
I want to charter (rent) the whole boat out. Do you do private parties?
100%! You can do a private tour for bachelorettes, birthdays, corporate outings, or the ultimate Sunday Funday. Let us help you plan an epic boat day! Contact us at 315-516-8687 to set up a private event.
Wait, I don’t have to drive this thing, do I?
Nope! All of our tours are directed by New York State Parks Dept Certified Public Vessel Operators (captains). We have a captain and first mate on board for each tour for your safety.
Do I have to wear a life jacket?
Passengers under 75lbs will be required to wear a life jacket onboard and underway. Life jackets are supplied by Drift Upstate.
